What is the ICEX STARR service? Reviving and Relocating Technology!
STARR is our ‘evolution’ on the term ITAD (IT Asset Disposal/Disposition) and it stands for Secure Technology Asset Revival and/or Relocation
Secure - we always put data security first, adhering to strict government standards; we know how important personal privacy is.
Technology - we are on a mission to reduce E-waste to landfill and improve the life cycles of many technologies, moving towards the circular economy!
Asset - we want to get value out of the kit, for both your possible rebates and also to not waste something potentially useful that could enrich someone's life.
Revival - this is our core service where we use data-wiping software to securely data cleanse unlocked devices so they can be ‘revived’ and put to good use! If we are forced to, due to devices being locked, we shred the hard drives and recycle them and use the parts to repair and revive other machines etc. Recycling is our last resort, with nothing going to landfill!
Relocation - this service evolved out of our core service as we had the infrastructure to take on the data liability of moving IT Assets from one location to another. This could be if your business is moving offices and your removal company may not be able to take on the liability of moving assets with sensitive data on them.
