Farleigh Hospice’s brilliant Christmas Tree recycling initiative

Do you know about Farleigh Hospice’s brilliant Christmas Tree recycling initiative?

What is it? On the 5th, 6th and 7th of January 2024 you can book a collection slot for your Christmas tree to be picked up.

Keep an eye out for the ICEX van as our Chief Operating Officer, Jim Bromley, will be out to collect trees.

We believe this is a great initiative as all landfill reduction is part of our vision - our specific focus is on E-waste of course.

Farleigh Hospice say
“Here are the benefits:
- Our dedicated team will swing by to collect your tree from outside your home
- You won’t have to wait in a long queue at the rubbish tip or book a time slot to visit
- You won’t have a car boot full of pine needles
- Your tree won’t go to waste. Instead, it will be chipped and used for biomass fuel or on pathways in local cemeteries and parks
- Most importantly, your donation will help us to continue providing care to local people affected by life-limiting illness and bereavement.”

This is a great opportunity for people to get their Christmas Tree recycled in a way that is less harmful than dumping. At ICEX we are obviously committed to reducing waste and so we are really happy that our van and COO are helping such a great cause as Farleigh Hospice.

And, once again, wishing you and yours a wonderful holiday period and Happy New Year from everyone at ICEX! 🎉🎄🎉
